Volunteers

Torchlight is not for profit community event. The small Torchlight organising team are a group of unpaid volunteers who run the event for the benefit of the community. WE can’t run the event alone though and we need your help!

Can you spare a few hours on 23rd September? If so we’d love to hear from you. This year we are looking for:

• 20 people to help at the street festival. These people will be needed for a minimum of 2 hours
  between 10am and 4pm for a variety of roles including helping to marshal crowds, stage
  manage and assist in the information tent.
• 50-70 marshals to marshal the parade. These people will be needed from 6pm until 9pm. Marshalling is a vital health and safety role and without volunteers in these roles the parade can’t happen safety. Marshals must be over 18, full training will be provided.
• 20 other volunteers during the parade. These people will be needed from 6pm until 9pm to assist with admin roles, as runners to help line up the parade or as bucket collectors.
