Join us on Saturday
September 26th 2020
Torchlight is going to be a bit different this year but there is still loads for you to get involved with. Please join us to keep Torchlight alive!
Throughout the summer we have had loads of workshops to show you creative skills to help you to decorate your homes, make entries for our “Tiny Torchlight” and to get carnival ready. Although we cant gather on the streets this year, we can all still celebrate within our homes and bubbles, to keep the spirit o carnival alive.
There will be NO procession on Friday 25th September, and NO street party on Saturday 26th. However we do have some Torchlight magic for you. There will be online activities throughout the day, our information stand will be in the Market Place. There will be an amazing convoy of magical creatures for you to spot around Kendal, and of course the online showing of the Tiny Torchlight procession. Read more about it below, don’t miss out!

Host your Tiny Torchlight Party
At home with your bubble
We invite you all to bring the party home! Think Eurovision parties, watching and celebrating. Stay safe, stay home and stay in your bubbles, but enjoy the spirit of Torchlight with a party at home.
Light up Kendal

There will be a lantern display, illuminated for you to visit, from Saturday 26th September to 10th October 2020 in the former Monsoon unit at Elephant Yard. There will be lots of time to view the lanterns so please observe all social distancing guidelines.
