Mark your calendars – Kendal Torchlight Carnival returns on Saturday 26th September 2026 for another unforgettable celebration.
Torchlight will once again transform Kendal town centre into a vibrant, illuminated spectacle, bringing together thousands of residents, artists, performers and visitors for a truly magical experience.
Following the incredible success of recent years, the Carnival continues to grow as a much-loved, community-led event, with hundreds of participants creating lanterns, costumes and performances that light up the streets in a unique and joyful procession.
In the months leading up to the event, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved, including artist-led workshops, volunteering roles and ways for individuals, schools and community groups to take part.
Whether you’re joining the parade, helping behind the scenes, or simply coming along to enjoy the atmosphere, Torchlight 2026 is set to be a highlight of the Kendal calendar once again.
