Schools

You should have received an entry pack delivered to your school which includes an invitation to enter, a how to enter flyer and summer programme flyers.
This year, the main participatory even will be taking place on Saturday, in the day time, without a long walk around a parade route. Your entry will be showcased in “The Dell” a performance space in Abbot Hall park, where you can bring your group to show off costumes, dance, sing, perform and accompany a wheelbarrow float too!
Stalls are also available for schools who would like to showcase any projects or work they are doing to support the community, protect our planet or raise awareness of the environment.
It is a great opportunity to find out all about the new format for this year, ask us questions and find out how to enter.
Book your place and come along to find out how you can enter, get ideas, source materials and ask any questions you may have about how it all works.
The first 30 schools to apply, will receive a free trolley of materials from the scrap store to use on their float or costumes.
