Kendal College Arts & Design Performing Arts & Arts Students get creative for Torchlight ✨🎭
We had the pleasure of attending the rehearsals for next week’s street party, and what an incredible experience it was! The Year 2 Performing Arts students at Kendal College were hard at work, perfecting their performances under the expert guidance of their fantastic mentor, Gary Gifford. His expertise and passion for the arts were evident as he directed each scene with precision, helping the students bring their creative visions to life.
Kendal College, renowned for its comprehensive Arts & Design programs, offers students a vibrant and supportive environment to hone their skills. The Performing Arts department, in particular, is known for its rigorous training and emphasis on both practical and theoretical aspects of performance. Students are encouraged to explore various facets of the arts, from acting and directing to stage management and production design.
In addition to the Performing Arts students, the Art & Design students have been busy preparing for the Torchlight Procession as well. Under the guidance of Donna Campbell, they have been creating stunning lanterns for the event’s “Water” theme. These lanterns include giant whales, turtles, and other sea creatures, showcasing the students’ creativity and craftsmanship. The lanterns promise to add a magical touch to the festivities, illuminating the streets with their intricate designs and vibrant colours.
We can’t wait for you all to see the amazing talent and dedication these students have put into their performances and creations. The street party & procession are set to be a spectacular event, celebrating the hard work and artistic achievements of Kendal College’s students.
