Just some of the statistics from Torchlight 2017 giving you an insight into what goes into the event. We are looking for new Team Members to help with organising this iconic event in Kendal’s calendar.

Vacant Organisation Roles

Logistics Coordinator

  • Liaise with facility providers
  • Ensure all equipment is in place
  • Work closely with volunteers coordinator to ensure all roles are covered
  • Work with the event advisory group on managing the main events
  • Coordinating the main operational team

Book Keeper

  • Monitor grant income
  • Make payments
  • Take receipt of incoming payments
  • Basic book keeping
  • Administration of accounts
  • Update Torchlight Organising Group, via the treasurer

Fundraising Co-Ordinator

  • Secure funders and supporters for Torchlight from local businesses and statutory/grant making organisations
  • Complete funding and grant applications
  • Host any supporters who attend on the night
  • Report back to all supporters/funders after the event


  • Take minutes at the Torchlight Organising Committee meetings and circulate after the meeting
  • Liaise with Torchlight Directors and Team Co-Ordinators to draw up meeting agendas and circulate
  • Keep the Event Management Plan and other Dropbox Files up to date if any changes are required

For all the roles you need to be able to attend Torchlight Organising Meetings which are held on the last Wednesday of the month 6.30pm at The Castle Green Hotel plus monthly meetings of your specific team which are held at a date and time convenient to those who should attend.
