Join us on the 28th and be part of the procession
We have lots of ways to get involved. Torchlight is open to everyone and we want you all to be a part of the fun. If you have any questions feel free to email entries@kendaltorchlight.co.uk.
Independent group
If you are part of a group, such as a sports club, Brownies / Guides, Cubs/Scouts, Cadets, a band, dance group, business or any other organisation you can enter together. Fill in our entry form, let us know who you are, what your entry will be and some basic details about what you would like to do. Entry is free and anyone is able to submit an entry as long as it fits with our entrance guidelines.
Brewery Workshops
The Brewery Arts Centre Workshops are happening each Saturday throughout the summer. Focussing on the element of Air, the theme of these workshops is Dark Skies. If you would like to join in this section of the parade, you can leave your email address at the workshop on the sign in sheet, you can email entries@kendaltorchlight.co.uk and say you want to be part of the “Dark Skies” entry, or you can turn up on the day to Abbot Hall Park and join in.
Schools
Schools have long been the backbone of the procession. Many schools have taken part in workshops this year. Whether or not your school has made lanterns, we would love for you to enter and take part in the procession. If you have any questions about taking part, please feel free to email entries@kendaltorchlight.co.uk. To submit your entry fill in the form below.
Community Workshops
If you have taken part in one of our community workshops, we would love for you to take part in the procession with your group. If you contact the Creative Leader of that group, Kate, Donna, Lana or Amy, they will give you the details that you need. Or you can email entries@kendaltorchlight.co.uk.
Individuals and Families
If you aren’t part of a group, but would like to get involved, our community entry is open to all. You can come along on the night and just pick up a lantern, or bring your own. Everyone is welcome. You can wear costumes, bring lights, energy and get involved. You can email entries@kendaltorchlight.co.uk or message us through facebook.
