We are pleased to announce planning is well underway for this year’s Torchlight celebrations. The event is scheduled to place between the 24th and 26th September this year.
Though many events across the country are uncertain of whether they will be able to run as planned, the team behind Kendal’s annual event have been working hard to ensure contingency is in place so that there will be something to show – should government guidelines continue to be listed as unsafe.
The event managed to run last year and raise the spirits of the community despite the covid pandemic. The event was a success, where battling covid restrictions, volunteers worked tirelessly to provide a huge community crafts project, miniature film and drive by procession, bringing incredible steel sculptures to the town’s estates.
This year will see a gathering take place once again, but full details are firmly under wraps until the events launch later in June.
