Lana Grindley is a local community artist, facilitator and organiser. She has spent years working alongside the community and has experience in working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, homelessness, older adults, dementia, and also children. Her passion is to use art as a platform to create social inclusion opportunities and to take art to people who wouldn’t normally have access.
She is really excited to get involved in Torchlight Carnival as it is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the community and its people. This while spreading awareness of worthy causes such as climate change, preservation of nature and how this time in lockdown has brought communities together.
Why I like being involved in Torchlight
Torchlight is really exciting to me because I love to be a part of a festival I have been going to since I was a child. My passions lie in making it accessible to all, being crafty and creative and bringing new communities together.
