Each year, Kendal Torchlight chooses local charity partners to collect during the Kendal Torchlight Carnival. Our chosen charity partners will have a team of bucket collectors working their way through the crowds on Torchlight night.
Each charity receives a share of the collection along with Torchlight itself to help us run again the following year.
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.
St John’s Hospice is a local charity which provides free palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions. Their services cover a population area of 250,000 people in North Lancashire, South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. They have been caring for our community every minute of every day since 1986.
Buzz Club runs at the Riverview Centre on a Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm for ages 8 to 24 years.
On a Tuesday, it runs from the Lads & Girls Club, 6:30pm until 8:30pm for ages 14 to 24 years.
We host a range of activities including baking, arts and crafts, cooking, ball games,sports plus activity days and trips out.
