Kendal Torchlight Calls for Local Support

Posted Monday, 14 April 2014, 2.55pm

A campaign has been launched to recruit volunteers for this years' Kendal Torchlight Carnival.

The event will take place on Friday 12th September, and organisers are currently looking for 160 volunteers and helpers to get involved on the night. Local support is also needed for crucial marshalling roles in closing the streets, guiding the floats and keeping the Torchlight Carnival procession safe for crowds and performers alike.

As well as street marshals, other volunteers needed for the Carnival to be a success on the day include stewards, programme sellers, and first aiders. There are also roles available for committed people in the Torchlight 2014 Team.

Potential volunteers can download an application form directly from the Kendal Torchlight Carnival website (http://www.kendaltorchlightcarnival.co.uk/downloads.aspx), or email volunteers@kendal-torchlight-carnival.co.uk to apply. Further details can also be found on the event's Twitter and Facebook pages:
