CancerCare, a local charity dedicated to the support of cancer patients, their families and their carers, and for those bereaved by cancer. Our services are available to anyone in South Lakeland, through the Lakes Centre in Kendal - look at www.cancercare.org.uk for help or to donate.

Great North Air Ambulance provides a vital, life-saving air ambulance service across North East England, Yorkshire and Cumbria. It is reliant on voluntary donations - see www.greatnorthairambulance.co.uk to find out how you can donate.

St. Mary's Hospice is an independent charity that provides specialist medical nursing and care to people from South Lakeland and Furness suffering from serious progressive illnesses. A range of services are offered to meet each patient's needs - www.stmaryshospice.org

Kendal Mountain Rescue Team relies entirely on voluntary donations to provide a search and rescue service in our area. Last year, we averaged one callout a week. See www.kendalmrt.org.uk to see how you can help.
