CancerCare, a local charity dedicated to the support of cancer patients, their families and their carers, and for those bereaved by cancer. Our services are available to anyone in South Lakeland, through the Lakes Centre in Kendal - look at www.cancercare.org.uk for help or to donate.

Royal British Legion provides welfare to the whole Armed Forces family - serving, ex-Service and their dependants. They also campaign on a range of issues affecting Service people, are the custodian of Remembrance, run the annual Poppy Appeal and are one of the UK's largest membership organisations - find out how you can support their work at www.britishlegion.org.uk

Sight Advice South Lakes is a charity based in Kendal that provides assistance and support for local people with sight problems. A full range of services are offered to both individuals and organisations. Find out how you can support their work through volunteering or donating - www.sightadvice.org.uk

Kendal Mountain Rescue Team relies entirely on voluntary donations to provide a search and rescue service in our area. Last year, we averaged one callout a week. See www.kendalmrt.org.uk to see how you can help.
